Karin, Lutz and Johannes, the three heroes of this “left-wing story”, met in West Berlin in 1966. Under the formative impression of the student movement, they show solidarity, politicise and radicalise themselves, practice free love, find a flat share and practice great resistance. Their actions also reflect the relationship of the left to the RAF and to the events of the German autumn. The “Linke Geschichte” also tells of the movements that developed from the APO era and have not lost any of their political explosiveness to this day: Feminism, ecology or globalisation. Karin, Lutz and Johannes set out to turn the world off its hinges. In the end, they meet again in 2021. What moves them today?
“Eine linke Geschichte”, the GRIPS cult piece, tells a critical, funny and melancholy story about people of the generation of 68. An ironic self-portrait, supplemented by original cabaret numbers from the legendary Berlin Reich Cabaret and musically enriched with the hits of that time.
