was born in Celle, Lower Saxony, in 1962. He moved to Berlin in 1985 and began training as an actor at the Fritz Kirchhoff School, graduating in 1988. After a season at the Berlin theater “Tribüne”, he was hired by the Grips Theater in 1989 and has been a permanent member of the ensemble ever since, with interruptions. In the meantime, he has performed at Theater Strahl and the Berliner Shakespeare Company and has also worked as a narrator for various radio play productions. Christian has also been working as a director and author since 2005 (including “Die Faxen dicke” for the GRIPS Theater, “Heidi sucht den Schnee” for the Berliner Wintergarten, “Spaaaß, oder wer bestimmt was lustig ist?” and “Das wird man doch mal sagen dürfen” for Theater Strahl). In 2019, he staged his play “Spaaaß, oder wer bestimmt was lustig ist?” at the Theater for Children and Young People in Krasnoyarsk, Russia and in 2021 “Himmel, Erde, Luft und Meer” based on the GRIPS play of the same name by Volker Ludwig. Christian is married and has two grown-up children.
