Thomas Keller

Born in 1964 in Berlin Studied saxophone and composition at the Berlin University of the Arts. In 1986 he started as a saxophonist in “Linie 1” at the GRIPS Theater In 2014 he took over the newly created position “Development of the Music Department” at GRIPS, which led to the position “Music Dramaturgy”

from 2018. There he built up the “grips-records” label, among other things, and looks after all musical aspects and areas relating to the theater. Thomas Keller has composed around 30 stage scores, many of them for the GRIPS Theater. He was also a works council member at GRIPS from 2013 to 2023. He has also done studio work (including for Hansa-Studios Berlin, Alphaville, Klaus Schulze, Romy Haag) and tours as a saxophonist with Ulla Meinecke, the chansonnier Tim Fischer and currently with Axel Prahl.
