Milena Baisch was born in 1976 and studied screenwriting at the Film Academy in Berlin. She writes books for children and young people, screenplays, radio plays and plays. In 2011, she received the “German Youth Literature Prize” for “Anton taucht ab”. Her play “Die Prinzessin und der Pjär”, which premiered at GRIPS, won the Berlin Children's Theater Prize and the Mülheim Children's Play Prize. She has also written other successful plays for GRIPS, including “Laura war hier” and “Zum Glück viel Geburtstag”. She has a son and lives in Berlin.
