Maria Lilith Umbach
is a theatre director and artist. She studied theatre directing at the HfMT in Hamburg. During this time she created the productions .LENZ. (invited to the OUT NOW Festival 2010) and .Mondgesicht – Poem for Hannelore Kohl. (winner of the audience award for young talent at the .150 % made in Hamburg. - Festival 2012). She is an active member of the cobratheater.cobra collective and has been involved in the conception of cross-disciplinary actions throughout Germany. Since 2014, she has also worked on projects in public spaces and with children and young people, including for the Uferstudios Berlin. In 2017 she staged .NASSER #7Leben. at GRIPS. The production was nominated for the Amadeo Antonio Prize and IKARUS 2017 and won the 2017 Brothers Grimm Prize of the State of Berlin.
