He was born and raised in Berlin in 1997 as the son of parents of Peruvian and German descent. After graduating from high school, Luis wasn’t sure what to do, so he initially studied theater studies at the Free University of Berlin, which he found very boring; he dropped out and decided instead to audition at acting schools.
In 2021, he began his acting studies at the KONRAD WOLF Film University in Babelsberg and graduated in 2025.
At the 2025 National Competition for German-Speaking Acting Students, Luis and his class won one of the ensemble awards for the movement-based piece *Wir(r)*.
In 2024, Luis also began his studio year at the Theater Chemnitz, where, alongside his acting work, he wrote his first original play, *Chemnitz Tonight*, and staged it as a director at both the Theater Chemnitz and the Atomino Chemnitz. In Chemnitz, he also co-wrote the productions *Durch die Wand* and *lost.lost.lost*. The latter was performed during the occupation of the old Theaterhaus Chemnitz.
In 2025, he also appeared as a guest at the Zimmertheater Heidelberg in *Halbe Wahrheiten* and, with his first engagement at the Grips Theater for the 26/27 season, found his way back to Berlin.
In addition to acting, Luis loves to dance contemporary and salsa and also practices martial arts.
