A curious exploration of the city through different eyes
We’re going on an outing! What should we bring? And what will we find when we get there? What and who was there before us? And will anything change now—just because we’ve arrived? With *aus | flug*, we’re developing a new play that we’ll later perform not only at GRIPS, but also as a mobile production during outings in Berlin’s neighborhoods. To do this, we’re setting out on a journey of discovery ourselves, conducting research in daycare centers, parent cafés, and on playgrounds, wanting to learn from children how they see Berlin and how they experience the urban space. Are the most amazing things huge, or do you have to look for them with a magnifying glass? And when two people set out together, who decides which way to go and why? What’s in your backpack, your suitcase?
Which trip do we take on foot, by bike, car, bus, and train—and which one with our minds?
