Wortsport 26 opens its doors to a stage charged with text, sound and completely unpredictable energy. In this show, slam poets, songwriters and singer-songwriters fire up their word engines and zigzag through groove, emotion and cultivated chaos. Berlin calls this a normal Friday.
Featuring: Schneekönig, Eva Matz, Jan Böttcher and a fresh line-up of newcomers and newcomers from Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tyrol – hand-picked, word-loving and stage-savvy. Each and every one of them comes with their own mental acrobatics, with lyrics that sometimes whisper, sometimes bang, and sounds that float somewhere between neighbourhood romance and spotlight vibration.
And then there's the secret star guest. No names, no spoilers – just this much: experience shows that whoever shows up will cause spontaneous heart murmurs and mass goosebumps in the audience.
This show is for everyone who not only wants to hear language, but also wants to let it pulsate through the city.
