“Paroli” with Sukini, or: What does seahorse mean in Turkish?

A cozy afternoon with lots of languages for children aged 6–12 and their families

German is spoken in Germany. But so are Farsi, French, Swahili, Arabic, English, Vietnamese, Ukrainian, and many more.
So many languages—what a fabulous treasure!

Sukini and Grips find it exciting to learn about the languages spoken in Berlin. And we want to celebrate them – with all their sounds and meanings!

At “Paroli” (which, by the way, means “to speak” in Esperanto), we will come together and tell each other about the languages that surround us, the ones we are learning, the ones we understand, and the ones we speak.

And so that we can bring something tangible from home in addition to language, we'll all pack a favorite toy. (Sukini is bringing her seahorse :)

Looking beyond the horizon
Beyond our premieres, we are looking for further opportunities to develop new artistic projects for dialogue with our audience.
In the 2025/26 season, we will be engaging in an exchange with artists who, as ARTONAUTS / “Artists in Residence,” will bring their perspectives to the GRIPS cosmos.
